The 2 a.m. problem
A slab is being poured at night. The tower crane stops dead — one fuse has blown. Now the concrete is cancelled, the consultant wants approvals again, and everyone waits for a crane technician who may not arrive until morning.
Time and money both go. It is the most expensive kind of small fault there is, and it happens on live sites all the time.
What we do about it
We fit an extra indicator panel that shows whether the fuses are intact and lights up the moment one blows. An operator or any ordinary person on site can then change it themselves, without waiting for a technician. Trouble free operation, and the pour carries on.
